How to Make Lavender Orange Honey Soap ~DIY~

What you need:

2 lbs goat's milk melt & pour soap base
1 tbsp orange peel powder (make your own or buy it)
2 1/2 tbsp  dried lavender buds
1 1/2 tbsp light honey (optional)
16 drops lavender essential oil
4 drops orange essential oil
Soap molds (I used ArtMinds)
Double boiler

Chop soap into small pieces; this helps it melt faster. Place in a double boiler  and melt soap, making sure to watch it carefully so it does not burn.

Once soap is melted added ground orange, dried lavender, honey, essential oil and mix well.

Before soap cools pour into your soap molds. While soap is still warm sprinkle with lavender and ground orange, just for show.

After soap has cooled for at least 6 hours, carefully pop out of soap mold and embellish if you like, for gifts, with lace and lavender.

  1. This not only sounds like loads of fun, but each and every photo makes it look so darned lovely! I can practically smell it!

  2. Your soaps are very romantic. Thanks a lot for the wonderful tutorial
