Flower Garland Tutorial for Weddings

Yard  or so of material (I used an old dress and  2 thrift-shop sheets)
Glue gun & glue sticks

Rip 26 strips of your favorite material, each strips measuring approx 18" long and 1 3/4" wide. I say "rip" because the rough edges give it a chippy chic look, plus it's quicker.

Fold each strip together longways, and glue them. At this point you should have both rough edges touching, or if you like it smoother use the other side. Take scissors and cut slits close to the edge of the rough edges.

Cut a felt circle about 2" in diameter. Begin gluing the material to the felt, with the rough edge or smooth side on the outside. Glue the material as you go around the felt. Finish it by gluing a button in the center, or whatever you like. Lastly, cut a strip of material about 5 feet long and 1 3/4" wide. Starting at the end of the strip (you may or may not want to make a loop on the end for hanging, depending on what you plan to use it for), glue 2 flowers back to back with the strip of cloth between them. Work your way down with the flowers until you reach the end.

Note- The strips can be made larger, as well as the felt circle. You can also mix-match material and stop half-way around the felt and begin gluing different material to give it a more realistic look. The finished piece is not for use or play by small children or pets-contains small parts.

Happy Creating!
